This 24 karat Gold Eagle Frontlet Pendant is carved and chased by Native Artist Mike Sedgemore from the Kwakwaka'wakw or Kwakiutl Nation. The pendant is inspired by an Eagle Frontlet that belongs to the famous Hunt Family from Fort Rupert. The pendant features 20 abalone inlays and was created out of a $20 US 24 karat gold coin. The back of the inlays are reinforced with sterling silver.
The pendant is close to 1 3/4 inches or 4.3 cm high and over 1 1/4 inches or 3.2 cm wide and about 1/4 inch or .6 cm deep (without the bail). The pendant weighs over 0.7 ounces or 20 grams.
