This Hamatsa Rattle was hand-carved in 2004 by Nuu-chah-nulth artist Douglas David. It has been carved from yellow cedar and includes a red cedar stand. The rattle has been painted in beige and black acrylic and features horsehair, cedar bark, and leather rope. The item was purchased from a collection and shows minor signs of wear.
