Arthur Moody
Arthur Moody is a Northwest Coast Haida Native artist and master carver from Skidegate on Haida Gwaii. Arthur was born in 1885 and passed away in 1967. He comes from a family rich in Haida artists, his father and his son are both acclaimed artists. Arthur once carved a 150 cm totem pole out of argillite, it was the tallest until his son Rufus Moody, exceeded the height of this totem pole by carving poles five and six feet tall.
