Douglas David
Douglas David was born in Seattle in 1971 and is an artist of Nuu-chah-nulth, Dakota and Sioux descent. Both of his parents Joe David and Sandra Tuifua (nee Parry) are artists, and from birth, Douglas has been exposed to the traditional art of these cultures. Douglas is an experienced carver and his works are in various collections worldwide.
Douglas currently lives in Port Alberni, B.C. with his wife and children and continues to carve in a traditional style.
