David Gladstone
David Gladstone was a self-taught Heiltsuk artist who worked in a variety of media including wood, silver, gold, and abalone. He was a highly respected cultural leader, and spent a lot of time researching and recording Heiltsuk history. David's mentors were Francis Williams and Stanley George. In 1993, David was an adviser to the BC Government for the design of the Bella Bella Community School.
David passed away in 2005.
