Randy Stiglitz
Randy Stiglitz was born in 1953 and is of Coast Salish descent. At a young age he moved to the Capilano Reservation in North Vancouver, BC. Randy began carving in the early 1970’s. He spent several years in Victoria, BC studying Kwakwaka’wakw and Coast Salish styles, and working with renowned carvers at Thunderbird Park including Henry Hunt, John Livingston, Gene Brabant and others.
Randy is passionate about passing his knowledge down to young First Nations students. He currently resides on the Sunshine Coast, and is actively carving together with his partner, Janice Morin, an accomplished Coast Salish artist.
