This argillite Tschomos (Sea Bear) Pendant is carved by Haida artist Jay Simeon of the Sdast'a.aas clan. It has been carved from argillite and features 2 abalone inlays for the eyes either mammoth or mastodon ivory for the teeth.

This pendant measures just over 2 inches or 5 centimeters high, over 1 3/4 inches or 4 1/2 centimeters wide, and under 1/2 inch or 1 1/2 centimeters thick. It weighs approximately 32 grams.

The pendant was carved in 2002 and came from the personal collection of a gallery owner from Haida Gwaii.
