This Owl Transformation mask has been hand-carved by Coast Salish artist Art Campbell in 1996 and signed on the back. The mask is carved from yellow cedar and painted in red, black, and blue acrylic paint. The mask depicts a human face, and an owl on the forehead with its wings wrapped around the sides. The mask is enhanced by the natural wood grain showing through, which adds further dimensionality to the carving.
The mask measures approximately 11 inches or 28 centimeters high, 8 inches or 20 1/4 centimeters wide, and 6 1/2 inches or 16 1/2 centimeters deep.
