This is a hand-carved yellow cedar Loon Paddle by Bill Henderson, Kwakwaka'wakw Master Carver from the Wei Wai Kum First Nation. The paddle is deeply carved and painted in grey, navy, dark red, black, and white acrylic, and has 29 abalone shell inlays.
The size is nearly 59 inches or 150 centimeters long, just over 9 3/4 inches or 25 centimeters wide, and about 1 1/4 inches or 3 centimeters thick.
