This Owl Mask was hand-carved by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Ernest Puglas. It has been carved from red cedar, painted in black, white, light brown, and dark brown acrylic, and is adorned with four small bundles of cedar bark, as well as goose and grouse feathers.

The Owl Symbol represents a bird of wisdom and intuition, magic and prophecy. Owls are often seen as messengers.
