This yellow cedar paddle with a Raven and Hummingbird design is entitled 'Spring is in the Air.' This paddle is by Native American artist Trevor Hunt from the Kwaguʼł Nation. Trevor has applied his sandblasted technique to this paddle and the result is a complex and deeply grooved contemporary design further enhanced by black, blue, red, white, and purple acrylic.

Mischievous and curious, the Raven plays many important roles in Pacific Northwest Coast Culture. For some, he symbolizes creation, transformation, knowledge, prestige as well as the complexity of nature and the subtlety of truth. He also symbolizes the unknown and shows that every person sees the world in a different way.

The Hummingbird teaches you to appreciate and love the miracle of living and to help you focus on the positivity in your life. Hummingbirds are often seen as joyful messengers and healers.
