This Fisherman Mask is carved in red cedar by Russell Tate from the Ditidaht First Nation on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island. The mask is painted in red, blue, black, and white acrylic and features a painted salmon design and inlaid abalone eyes. The mask is accented with cedar bark and black feathers. This mask is about 8 1/4 inches or 21 centimeters high, 6 1/2 inches or 17 centimeters wide, and about 6 1/4 inches or 16.5 centimeters deep. With the cedar bark, the mask is about 16 1/2 inches or 42 cm in length.
