Frog Mask by Cree artist Ryan Morin. This Frog Mask is hand carved in red cedar, painted in green, black, red and gold acrylic and finished with cedar bark and cedar bark twine. In many native cultures, frogs symbolize wealth and abundance. When a frog is portrayed in art with his tongue touching another creature, it represents the sharing of knowledge and power.
Ryan Morin was born in 1980 in Edmonton, Alberta and was inspired to begin creating art by his step-father Randy Stiglitz, an established Cree and Coast Salish wood carver.
The mask is about 13 inches or 34 cm in height, 9 inches or 23 cm is width and 5 inches or 13 cm in depth. The price includes shipping to the USA and Canada.
