Wilson "Buddy" George
Wilson "Buddy" George was born in 1958 and is a member of the Nuu-chah-nulth Nation from the West Coast of Vancouver Island. He has been carving full-time since 1991 and has worked extensively with the Hunt family, specifically the late Tony Hunt Jr., of the Kwakwaka'wakw Nation.
Buddy lives and creates his work in Port Alberni B.C. Buddy continues to study and explore the traditions of both the Nuu-chah-nulth and Kwakwaka'wakw cultures. He is particularly interested in expressing the legends and stories of his heritage through his work.
