Orca Cedar Panel

Sold

This Yellow Cedar Orca Panel is carved by Native American Artist Trevor Hunt from the Kwakiutl or Kwakwaka´wakw Nation. The Panel features three dorsal fins as well as elements that represent the water, the back of the whales and some elements of the heads. Trevor's inspiration was a small pod of Orcas or Killer Whales that included a mother with two Baby Orcas.

The Orca or Killer Whale symbolizes family, romance, longevity, harmony, travel, community and protection. He is said to protect those who travel away from home, and to lead them back when the time comes. Orcas will often stay their whole life with the same pod and raise each calf with care.
