Ed Calder
Ed Calder was a Haida artist born in 1900 in Old Massett, Haida Gwaii. While he also carved wood, he was best known for his argillite carvings, particularly model totem poles characterized by rounded forms and stippling. Several of his model poles are held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver, BC.
Ed passed away in 1978.
