This Portrait Mask is carved in red cedar by Russell Tate from the Ditidaht First Nation on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island. The mask is painted in blue, burgundy, white, black, and dark green acrylic and is adorned with horsehair, cedar bark, and feathers.

This mask not including the hair measures approximately 10 1/2 inches or 26 1/2 centimeters high, 8 inches or 20 1/4 centimeters wide, and 7 inches or 17 1/4 centimeters deep. Including the hair, the mask measures about 22 inches or 56 centimeters high, 13 inches or 33 centimeters wide, and 7 inches or 17 1/4 centimeters deep.
