Leon Ridley
Leon Ridley is a Haida artist born in Masset, Haida Gwaii. He apprenticed for wood carving with the Master Haida artists Reggie Davidson and Jim Hart after graduating from the local high school in 1989.
While carving a 12-foot totem pole for his former high school, Leon was involved in teaching other young artists wood carving skills. In addition to carving monumental poles, Leon Ridley excels at carving meticulous model poles for the art miniatures market.
