This Butterfly Bentwood Box is by Cole Speck from the Kwakwaka'wakw Nation. This bentwood box has sides made of yellow cedar and a lid and a base of red cedar. It has been painted in acrylic on four sides and features a striking Kwakwaka'wakw butterfly design.

Cole Speck apprenticed under renowned master carver Wayne Alfred and was also mentored by, and a senior apprentice to the late Beau Dick, celebrated artist, activist, and master carver.

This bentwood box is about 9 inches or 23 centimeters high and close to 10 1/2 inches or 26.5 centimeters wide and deep.
