Jason Hunt

Jason Hunt was born in Victoria in 1973 and is of Kwakwaka’wakw descent, from the village of Fort Rupert. During the summer of 1994, after completing his third year at college Jason was attracted to his family's artistic heritage.

While watching his father, Kwakwaka’wakw artist Stan Hunt, design and carve pieces, Jason became fascinated by the art. Jason enhances his skills and knowledge to this day with inspiration from his father and has goals to move on to larger pieces including the completion of his first totem pole.
