Powerful and human-like, Bear is often referred to as Elder Kinsman and is treated as a high-ranking guest when killed. Electric Potlatch depicts Bear in cool blue notes and was made in celebration of an event called Electric Potlatch that was held in 2007 to introduce Vancouver's East Side Native youth to a traditional potlach ceremony.
