This Frog Mask is carved in red cedar by Russell Tate from the Ditidaht First Nation on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island. The mask is painted in bright green, dark green, red, and white acrylic. It is adorned with abalone for the eyes and white goat hair for the hair.
This mask including the hair is about 13 inches or 33 centimeters high, 12 inches or 30 1/2 centimeters wide, and about 5 inches or 13 centimeters deep. Without the hair the mask is about 7 3/4 inches or 20 centimeters high, 7 inches or 18 centimeters wide and 5 inches or 13 centimeters deep.
