This limited edition print titled “Hadidadul ~ Reaching for the Stars" by Kwagu’ł artist Calvin Hunt was hand produced by the screen-printing process.
“In 2006 I had a feast, and during the feast we honored my wife, Marie Hunt, putting this name on her, Hadidadul – Reaching for the stars. In the print, the mountains represent Tlashkish, a mountain where a lot of my treasures come from. In a song composed by Kodi Nelson, it talks about paddling to Tlashkish, where I transform into a Thunderbird. In my supernatural canoe, which is designed with the Sisiutl, a protector and family crest, I travel up to the heavens in search of a star for my wife. Having not been able to accomplish this, I come back to her with a name, Reaching for the Stars" —Calvin Hunt
