This serene Shaman Hawk Transformation Mask is by Nuu-chah-nulth, Dakota, and Sioux artist Douglas David. The mask has been carved from red cedar and painted in orange and black acrylic. The orange painted surface has a unique textured patina that the artist has achieved by the inclusion of very fine sand in the paint. The mask also features white synthetic hair and white rope around the outside of the mask.
The mask is about 13 inches or 33cm long, about 10 inches or 26 centimeters wide, and 8 inches or 20 centimeters deep.
