This Woman in the Moon Pendant has been hand-carved in argillite with a catlinite or pipestone labret set in the lip, two abalone inlays in the eyes, and 11 abalone inlays around the face. It also has silver inlay around the outside of the moon. It has been hand-carved by Darrell White from the Haida Nation. The pendant comes with a small yew wood, fossil ivory, and metal stand that displays the pendant as a delightful small sculpture when it is not being worn.

The Moon Symbol is the protector and guardian of the earth. Its spirit watches over us and can change our moods.

The pendant is 2 3/4 inches or close to 7 centimeters long with the silver bail and 1 1/2 inches or over 3 1/2 centimeters wide and close to 1/2 an inch or 1 1/4 centimeters deep. The yew wood stand is 2 1/4 inches or about 5.5 centimeters wide by about 1 3/4 inches or 4.5 centimeters. As a small sculptural work mounted on the stand, the artwork measures 3 1/2 inches or 9 centimeters tall.
